Haste Philosophy
Quake 3, or any game for that matter, is all about having fun. If you don't enjoy yourself, or prevent other people from having fun, you're defeating the purpose of playing altogether.

Haste does not have tryouts. Haste does not recruit based on skill. We recruit entirely on attitude, as we firmly believe that with the right attitude and a little training, anyone can succeed in this game. We take players who enjoy the game and show them how to improve.

To enforce this attitude, Haste has strict rules against smack talk of any kind - if you feel the need to "start shit" you're not playing the game to have fun, and you're destroying the experience for others who are. However, if you love playing the game and tearing it up with the regulars, you'll fit right in!

Training Process
Haste has developed a five-step training process designed to correct the most common deficiencies of mid-level players. Every recruit to enter into our ranks must pass through this training process - not one person has emerged without becoming a better player.

The process is probationary, you're not a full member of the clan (that is, able to participate in official matches) until you complete training and pass a final review by the senior clan members. Trainees are encouraged to participate in scrims to start developing their team skills before they are a full member.

Full Equality
All clan decisions must be made unanimously by all full members of the clan. This include recruitment, expulsion, clan changes and all other matters. We do not move forward unless the clan wholly agrees with a decision.

Our leaders are there to make lives easier - to schedule matches, correspond with other clans, settle disputes, and provide support for trainees and other members. Leaders do not have any more democratic power than the regular clan members, they just have additional responsibilities to uphold. As with everything else, new leaders are selected with unanimous clan votes.
